Pressure Ulcer Awareness

This course is aimed at health and social care workers and looks at identifying the early signs of pressure sores (ulcers) in order to prevent them from progressing. All staff should be aware of the procedures in place for prevention and details of the care required once a sore has developed.

Topics covered include:

  • Knowledge of what a pressure ulcer is and how it is caused
  • Prevalence rates regarding the extent of pressure ulcer problems within the UK
  • Identifying areas of the body most at risk of developing pressure ulcers
  • The 4 grades of pressure ulcers

For TWO 3-hour courses (to be delivered on the same day) – £400.00

Number of learners – maximum of 12, any additional learners (above the 12) are charged at a rate of £30.00 per person.
