Dementia Awareness

Dementia is an umbrella term. It describes the symptoms that occur when the brain is affected by certain diseases or conditions. Symptoms of dementia can include memory loss; problems with reasoning and communication skills; as well as a reduction in an individual’s ability to carry out daily activities such as washing, dressing and cooking.
This awareness course is essential for anyone within the Health and Social Care sector who may have to care for people who are suffering from dementia.
